Introducing the new kitchen studio at Elite Bistros HQ in Hoole, Chester – A beautiful example of our Vard range in Doll and Tusk. Now it’s time for us to start cooking up a storm with Elite Bistros…
The Elite Bistros Group
The Elite Bistros group currently spans 7 restaurants across the Northwest with sites in Didsbury, Manchester city centre, Prescott, Hoole, Liverpool city centre and Heswall, with plans for more sites to join in the future.
As well as these restaurants, the team also tackle weddings and events with some outstanding menus, and they even offer their restaurant quality food, fully prepped, delivered to your door in their ‘Elite Bistros At Home’ boxes. The perfect opportunity to take credit for their fantastic food!
More Than a Chain of Restaurants
With all the expertise that Gary and the team have, it made sense to share them with the world. Having seen huge success with sold-out dining evenings at their headquarters, they wanted to expand their offering and give their customers an opportunity to come behind the scenes and enter the kitchen themselves. Thus, the idea of a kitchen studio was born.
Feeling at Home
Whilst their headquarters has a vast, sparklingly clean, stainless steel industrial kitchen on the ground floor, Gary was keen that when presenting to customers and teaching them how to cook his mouth-watering food, he should be doing so in an environment that is familiar to them, not alien. So, on their mezzanine, he decided to build a kitchen fit for a grand country home.
Cooking Up A Storm With Elite Bistros… On Social Media
In his search for a new kitchen, Gary reached out to Twitter, a place that had provided great success in supporting him in the past, with his crowdfunding on the social network setting records! As fate would have it, Smile Kitchens found the post and sent Gary a message. After a few conversations, our designer Corinne was tasked with designing the kitchen. Gary had a clear vision for what he was looking to achieve and gave us a detailed brief, which Corinne ran with. See below the original design.
Gary’s Inspiration
After seeing this photo on our website, Gary knew instantly that he wanted to match the look and feel of that kitchen in his own. Using this as inspiration, we created his kitchen in our Vard range using the dusky pink of Doll and the soothing grey of Tusk.
The Devil’s in the Details
The details really elevate a kitchen from being ‘nice’ to being something special. Let’s dive into the details of this kitchen… We added warmth with a solid oak worktop. To embrace the farmhouse stylings, we opted for a Carron Phoenix Belfast sink – a classic, sophisticated style. To develop the modern aesthetic, we paired our Vard range, with its contemporary slim shaker frame, with brass accessories throughout with the tap, Fold handles, and shelf brackets all matching in tone.
The Butler’s Pantry
Gary and Smile were both keen that this modern take on a traditional style kitchen featured a Butler’s Pantry. An iconic unit that adds a further touch of elegance and a wow factor to the space. A common feature in historic and period homes, the concept of a pantry has made a comeback over recent years. Thanks to the growth in organisation content on social media, pantries, and storage solutions have seen a huge amount of growth as a category. Everyone is keen to have a beautifully organised, instagramable kitchen. And Gary is no different…
